The protagonist, Takayuki Narumi, is a third-year student at Hakuryo University Affiliated Hiiragi Academy.

Even as graduation approached, he couldn’t decide on his future path.
Feeling a vague sense of urgency, he drifted through each day without purpose.

One day, his classmate and female friend, Mizuki Hayase, invited him to the summer festival along with his best friend, Shinji Taira. There, he was introduced to Haruka Suzumiya, Mizuki’s close friend.

She was the shy girl he had seen before.
Thanks to Mizuki’s efforts to include Haruka in their group,
Takayuki tried to interact with her positively. Yet, for some reason, Haruka avoided him, causing his frustration to grow.

Later, summoned to the hill behind the academy, Takayuki was met by Haruka, who confessed her feelings for him.
Unable to resist her shy words spoken with such gathered courage, he found himself swept along and started dating her.

As expected, conversations with Haruka were awkward.
But as time passed, the distance between them gradually closed.
