Shortly after the main protagonist, Saika Kikumaru, learned of his destiny following his grandfather’s death and went through various events.
To be specific, what happened was…

(1) In this country, beings called ‘Subhumans’—those of different origins than humans—exist unseen.
(2) The Saika family, to which the protagonist belongs, has been the link connecting this ‘underworld’ to human society.
(3) The protagonist, who was actually the hidden child of the Saika head, Magōichi, got caught up in a succession dispute while the head was absent.
(4) Under the loving guidance of the cat ninja, Fujika, he somehow succeeded in awakening his bloodline.
(5) He defeated the longstanding thugs who attacked him, securing a temporary peace.

That’s the gist of it, but as you can tell from the content, nothing was actually resolved.

Kikumaru stood before the question of whether to rebuild the Saika clan… when suddenly, what appeared before him was…
